Mix/Mastering
Recording engineer and owner, BZ Lewis of Studio 132, Oakland, CA (who also happens to be a six times Emmys winner!!!) was chosen to mix and master this project. Working with BZ is great! He makes you very comfortable while working together. He listens to everything you say in order to get a feel for what you’re looking for with your music. He doesn’t stop until you are satisfied.
And, not only being a technical, recording guru, he is a very highly trained and accomplished guitarist.
Prior to the recent Covid-19 epidemic, I was able to be in the studio during the mixing process, but recently all of our communications regarding this project has been done remotely. Still, it’s a winner with BZ!

In The Studio

Once you go inside Shantih’s studio, you can feel the atmosphere telling you, something nice is going to be happening today. It just so happens that I had the keyboardist/pianist scheduled to lay down his tracks this particular day, and it made his day… because she has this beautiful vintage Steinway grand piano in Studio A. It was great for one of the tracks we were working on.
Shantih is one of the nicest persons I’ve ever worked with and she is an expert at what she does. Just look at her bio: …David Benoit, Steve Allen, Clint Black, Al Jareau, Tim Weisberg, Dave Koz, Marilyn McCoo, Dave Brubeck, and more.

The Studio
When I first went to Phil O’Keefe’s studio, “Sound Sanctuary”, I knew this would be the studio this project would actually take shape at. Also having a love for the Lord, Phil showed a genuine interest in listening to what I wanted to accomplish with this project and gave me some guidance and insight on how he could help acheive that goal. Phil is one of the top Recording Engineers in Southern California. As noted by Bruce Swedien, in his latest book “Michael Jackson In The Studio”, “The future of music is in good hands” referring to Phil and a few of his other collegues…..
